Store Policies

1)  Information about us and how to contact us 

​

a)   We are Bradgate Brides which is our trading name. Our Company name is Twenty-Four Pathway LTD a company registered in England, company number 4747261. Our contact details are: 86-90 PAUL STREET LONDON ENGLAND UNITED KINGDOM EC2A 4NE.

b) How we may contact you

​

       We will contact you by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us. It is your responsibility to notify us of any new contact details.  

c)    When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these terms, this includes emails.  

​

2)     Our contract with you 

​

a)     When the contract comes into existence. When you have signed this contract and you have made a payment, either by way of a deposit, part-payment or payment in full of the purchase price of the products, a contract will come into existence between us. 

​

b)     If we cannot accept your order. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this, Bradgate Brides will not charge you for the product and refund any part-payment made. This might be because the product is discontinued, we have identified an error with the price or description of the product or because we are unable to meet the delivery deadline specified in your order or due to the item being out of stock.

c)     Payments. Payments are non-refundable unless we cannot accept or fulfil your order. The payment cannot be transferred to another person or item.

​

3)     Product descriptions and measurements 

a)     Products may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the products on our website or in any other promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately.Your product may vary slightly from those images or samples. 

​

b)     Making sure your measurements are accurate. Once measurements and sizing have been taken for your dress, you will be requested to sign a purchase document confirming that you agree to the sizes. The sizes will be written on the contract. It is your responsibility to check these measurements and to indicate if you feel that these measurements are incorrect in any way. We will not be held responsible for any weight loss/gain or any other changes in your measurements after the dress has been ordered.

c)     Timing of measurements. We will measure each bride once said' yes to the dress 'and advise on the size to be ordered. If the bride is not happy with the sizing they must inform us at the time of the order. We will not be responsible for any sizing discrepancies after this time. If a bride defers being measured to a later date it will be the customer’s responsibility to ensure that such measurements are taken in good time for the gown to be ordered and delivered in time.

d)    Special requests. Orders for gowns which are non-standard (including but not limited to design changes, specific colour requests), may be subject to a surcharge which will be agreed before confirming your order. The finished measurements of special length items can vary +/- 1 inch.  Rush cuts will be subject to an extra cost from £75. Please note Bradgate Brides will not be responsible if the gown arrives later than expected.

e)     Guidance. Where we provide guidance in the choice of design, size, colour and measurements we do so without any liability.

​

f)     Sample and sale gowns. At the time of purchase of an sample gown, we will advise of any known faults with the dress, this will be documented on the contract. However, it is your responsibility to inspect any sample gowns before purchase to ensure that you are happy with the condition as they are likely to have been subject to wear and tear as there are featured within the boutique. We are in partnership with a dry-cleaner Bradgate Dry-cleaning who does offer 10% off dry-cleaning. Sample gowns are priced competitively due to the wear and tear on them. Bradgate Brides is not responsible for any cleaning, repairs or alterations required. Please not sample gowns are non-refundable. If you would like a recommendation for additional services please speak to us.

4)    Providing the products 

a)  By way of guidance only and since most products are made to order, products can take up to 6 months to arrive and can take longer during peak periods. On occasions, the product can arrive within a matter of weeks. 

​

b)     We are not responsible for delays outside of our control. If delivery of the product is delayed in arriving with us by an event outside of our control, then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.

​

c)     When you become responsible for the product. The product will be your responsibility when you collect it from us, you will be required to sign out the gown/accessories.

​

d)     When you own the product. You own the product once we have received full payment for the product. The product will be deemed as accepted by you even if you choose not to come and inspect the product.  

​

e)     Suspending supply of the product. If you do not pay us for the product when you are supposed to and you still do not make payment within 7 days of us reminding you that payment is due, we may suspend supply of the product until you have paid us any outstanding amount. As well as suspending the product, we can also charge you interest on any overdue payments.  

​

5)     Your rights to end the contract.

​

a)     Changing your mind. All payments are non-refundable, including sample dresses, regardless of whether you change your mind and/or no longer require your item.  For example; if your wedding is cancelled. When you order your dress you agree to pay both payments in the event that the cost of the dress is split into multiple payments.  In the event that you change your mind or no longer require the dress ordered, where the purchase is split into two payments both payments must be made. Once the balance payment is made you will be invited to collect your dress. We can not provide the dress until the second payment is made.

6)     Our rights to end the contract.  

​

a)     We may end the contract if you break it. We may end the contract for a item at any time by writing to you if: 

i)     You do not make payment to us when it is due; 

ii)    You do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide the product; 

iii)   You do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver the products to you (if applicable) or collect them from us.  

b)     You must compensate us if you break the contract. Bradgate Brides will not refund any payments you have paid for the products. You will still be responsible for any outstanding balance on the order.

 

7)     If there is a problem with the product. 

​

a)     How to tell us about problems. If you have any questions or complaints about the product, please contact us either by writing, telephone or speaking to a member of staff. Please contact us at info@bradgatebrides.com

8)     Price and payment. 

​

  1.     Where to find the price for the product. The price for the product will be set out on the order form. You will find the price on your receipt the price for the product. Also within the contract. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct. However, please see clause 8.b for what happens if we discover an error in the price of the product you order.  

​

b)     What happens if we got the price wrong? It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the product’s correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the product’s correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order. If we accept and process your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as mispricing, we may terminate the contract, refund you any sums you have paid.

9a)     When you must pay and how you must pay.  

​

i)       Ordered gowns. Either pay in full at the time of saying ’ yes to the dress’ or 50% of the price for the dress must be paid at the time of ordering with the remaining 50% to be paid in 6 weeks. We accept payment by cash, bank transfer or credit/debit card. Bradgate Brides can send payment links to your best form of contact. 

ii)      Sale/Sample Gowns. It is our policy that sale/sample gowns are paid in full and taken away on the day of purchase.  These purchases are non refundable. You will be required to sign-out the gown. 

iii)    Veils, Jewellery & other accessories. 100% of the price for the products must be paid at the time of ordering. There is no refunds with accessories unless the item is deemed as faulty. Once items have arrived within the boutique You will be required to sign-out the accessories.

e)     Storage Costs. If it is a Sample gown we do charge £50 for up to 2 weeks, after this time Bradgate Brides charge £5 per week. Ordered gowns,once arrived we will store your gown free of charge for up to 2 weeks. After this time Bradgate Brides charge £5 per week. Unless a try & check has been arranged we will not charge for storage. Please note if you do not make Bradgate Brides aware of collection or delay collection without noticing us , we will continue to charge £5 per week.

f)      Storage Costs for accessories. Bradgate Brides do provide storage for accessories , including;veils,hair pieces ,jewellery ect. We do charge £20 for up to 2 months. Your items will be protected and will covered under our insurance giving extra protection. Bradgate Brides will provide a collection date and this will be written on a accessory form inside the boutique, where you will be requested to sign.  Or we will store your product for £20 until your try&check. Please note if your item is not collected within your collection time frame, we would enforce the charge of £5 per week for storage. If you require your accessories for your try&check appointment we would request items to arrive when your gown arrives which could be around 3-6 months.

 g)      Storage in the event of cancellation or postponement. In the event that the wedding date is postponed or cancelled, we ask you to collect your gown within 14 days. If your dress remains uncollected after a period of 2 months either after your wedding date ,as advised on the order form; or if no date was stated on the order form, 2 months after notification of the postponement or cancellation, then we reserve the right to dispose of your dress. We reserve the right to charge storage at £5 per week, starting 14 days after notification is made to you to collect your dress.

h)     Additional costs. We shall charge additional costs where we are asked to provide products before their usual delivery time or where we are asked to work outside of our normal business hours, in which case we will notify you in advance. Bradgate Brides charge £20 for out-of hours appointments.

 

i)     We can charge interest if you pay late. If you do not make any payment to us by the due date, we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 5% a year above the base lending rate set by the bank of England from time to time. This interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment amount, whether before or after judgement. You must pay us interest together with any overdue amount.

j)   Once your gown has arrived within the boutique, Bradgate Brides will contact you via email to make you aware of arrival, you are expected to book in for a try& check within 14 days of arrival of the gown, this is linked with the designers policy, this allows us to send back the gown if faults are found.

​

10)     Alterations and Fittings.

​

a)     Once we have supplied you with your wedding gown, we have fulfilled our contractual obligation to you. 

​

b)     We are happy to recommend a seamstress to you who can carry out fitting and alteration appointments at our boutique. You are not obliged to use our recommended seamstress and the cost of any alterations is not included in the price of the gown. 

​

c)     If you decide to use the services of the recommended alterations specialist, you will be provided with guideline alteration charges at the time of ordering your dress. However, these are guidelines only and in no way serve as a maximum or minimum price. Each piece of work will be individually assessed by the seamstresses and will be charged in accordance with their pricing policy. The seamstress is a independent business. The alterations costs are in addition to the cost of your dress and are to be agreed by you with the seamstress. 

​

d)     Bridal gowns can usually be altered a maximum of 1-2 UK dress sizes, wholly depending upon the cut of the gown. The seamstress will advise you of what is possible with your particular gown.

​

e) Fittings will need to commence at least 8-12 weeks before your wedding date. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have booked your first fitting with our recommended seamstress or any external alterations specialist (whether recommended by us or not) sufficiently in advance of your wedding.  

​

11)     Accessories Online

​

a)     Orders may be placed online 24 hours a day. Alternatively, you may order by telephone on 0116 236 3388. Finally, you may order by email whereby a link will be sent to you to checkout through Worldpay or Paypal

​

b)     Bradgate Brides will send you a confirmation email showing details of your ordered products. (Please check your junk or spam folders if this doesn’t arrive promptly. If there are any problems with your order such as insufficient stocks with our suppliers, we will advise you as soon as possible. We are not however, able to accept changes or cancellations of made-to-order or bespoke items once they have been made.

​

c)     We accept orders from anywhere in the world. However, these orders are subject to different delivery charges. From £20 for the rest of the world including USA. Goods delivered abroad may be subject to the customs and excise duty applicable in that region. Please note: if you’d like to get a more accurate international shipping quote ahead of ordering  then get in touch before ordering. Send an email to info@bradgatebrides.com.There also may be cheaper options if you have time and don’t mind a slower service.

 

d)     In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2014, personalised products which are made to the customer’s specific requests are non-returnable or refundable.

​

e)    If the goods are faulty, not what you ordered, or do not reach you in perfect condition, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement. With regards to non-returnable bespoke veils, a replacement only will be offered. 

Some examples of faults on a custom veil order might be…

  • The veil is cut in the wrong length. (e.g. you ordered 98'' and we sent 115'')

  • The veil is made in the wrong colour. (e.g. you ordered white and we sent blue)

  • The veil has the wrong beading. (e.g. you ordered diamantes and we sent pearls)

  • Anything similar to the above that differs from what is stated on the order invoice.

In these examples, a replacement would be made ASAP to the correct specifications and shipped free of charge.

 

f)     Bradgate Brides will accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date, in accordance with your Statutory Rights. Only if it is faulty or damaged.If you would like to return the item, please notify us within the 14 day period, otherwise you may forfeit your rights to return the item.

12)     Social Media

​

a) I understand and agree, that Bradgate Brides, may continue to use any photographs they may have had of the dress detailed in this contract, for the purposes of advertising and marketing.

​

b) I understand and agree, that Bradagte Brides may use any photographs taken of me throughout the dress buying process, for the purposes of advertising and marketing.

​

13) Delivery 

​

a) For online orders regarding accessories including; veils, hair accessories, shoes, jewellery delivery times can vary. Bradgate Brides work with global suppliers, including brands from New York, for our online store. Delivery times vary and can be checked at checkout or on the brand's website. Exchanges & refunds are available if faulty.  Ivory&co delivery standard: Delivery within 2-5 days. Express delivery: Delivery within 1-2 days. 

​

b) Order processing times. Orders will be dispatched, wherever possible, within the time scales stated. Gown Orders are not shipped on weekends or bank holidays. Any significant delay in shipment of your order, due to stock levels or circumstances beyond our control, will result in us contacting you via email or telephone to advise.

​

b) In store purchases. Items to be collected from the store. Unless specified to be delivered at your home address. For Richard Designs including veils,accessories and jewellery the delivery will be within 1-2 weeks. 

​

c) All Accessories are usually dispatched within 2 - 5 working days. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any delay in the delivery but we will try to keep you up to date as much as possible. If you do come across a delay or the item is damaged on arrival, please contact us to resolve for you.

 

d) Shipping Confirmation and Tracking: You will receive a shipping confirmation email, which will include a tracking number, once your gown has been ordered. You can track your package using the tracking number provided by calling the designers number.

e) Please note that the delivery of your ordered gown may take up to 6 months to arrive. We will keep you updated on the status of your order and notify you via email once it arrives at our boutique. 

​

14) Exchanges (if applicable)


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@bradgatebrides.com and send your item to 4 Cropston Rd, Anstey, Leicester, LE7 7BJ.

14)     Other important terms

​

a)     We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. 

​

b)     You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this in writing. 

​

c)     This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

 

d)     Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect. 

​

e)     Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately

​

that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us from taking steps against you at a later date. 

​

f)      These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts.
