Frequently Asked Questions

  • How Many Guests Can I Bring?
For your own comfort and that of your stylist, we suggest bringing a maximum of THREE guests. In our years of experience, we feel that too many varying opinions can really confuse a bride as everyone has a different view on the style of gown they prefer.
  • What Underwear/Shoes Should I Wear?
We would suggest wearing light coloured underwear for trying on wedding gowns or if you wish to wear spanx, please do so. A large percentage of our brides wear these undergarments on their wedding day to make them feel more confident.
  • Can I Bring Children/Babies?
We are more than happy to see well behaved children here at our boutique, but you do need to be aware that we have lots of breakable items/mirrors, so it may spoil the magic of your bridal appointment experience.
  • Can I Wear Fake Tan?
Whilst we understand why you may like to wear fake tan, we do ask for you not to wear it whilst trying on our designer dresses. We like to keep all of our dresses in immaculate condition.
  • When Should I Shop For My Dress?
Most of our brides shop for their bridal gown with us just over 10-12 months before the big day. If you do need any advice please do not hesitate to call us to discuss your timings and we will be happy to work around your dates and if it short notice , we can try our best to help you and possibly sell one of our samples to you.
  • When Will I Have To Pay For My Bridal Gown?
When you find the bridal gown you love, we require a 50% first payment to secure your order. The remaining balance will be due in 6 weeks after the first payment, we will send a reminder and a link for you to pay the remaining balance. If you do require a Rush cut full payment will be required. For sample dresses, we will require a full and final payment from you. If you have any questions or concerns about the payment process, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team for assistance.
  • I’m Losing Weight For My Wedding What Shall I Do?
We understand that many of our brides are on a weight loss journey and we are here to help. If you are expecting to lose weight, we recommend taking your measurements and looking at our size charts to determine which size would be appropriate for your desired weight loss. Our seamstresses can also assist with any alterations needed to ensure the perfect fit for your body.
  • Can I receive a refund on a sample gown?
At Bradgate Brides, we do not offer refunds on sample gowns. Sample gowns are dresses that have been tried on in-store but have not been ordered or customized for a specific customer. We sell our sample gowns at a discounted price, and they may have minor imperfections from being tried on. Most of our sample gowns are in excellent condition. Please be sure to inspect the gown thoroughly before purchasing. Once you have purchased a sample gown, it is considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. We encourage our customers to take their time and make a thoughtful decision when purchasing a sample gown.
  • Can I Receive A Refund On Accessories?
Bradgate Brides are unable to offer refunds on accessories, including veils, hairpieces, and jewellery, unless they are found to be faulty. This policy applies to both in-store purchases at our boutique and online orders. We take great care to ensure the quality of products, but in the rare case that you receive a faulty accessory, please contact our customer service team at info@bradgatebrides.com promptly to arrange for a replacement or refund.
  • Do You Provide Alterations?
Yes, we understand that most brides will require alterations, whether it's the hem or to create the exact look you desire. To accommodate this, we have partnered with Sew&Seam, an independent business that works on-site. They are experienced in bridal alterations and can provide the necessary adjustments to ensure your dress fits perfectly. If you prefer to use your own seamstress, we can also recommend skilled professionals for your alteration needs. At Bradgate Brides we want to ensure that every bride has the opportunity to have their dream dress altered to perfection.
